Privacy-relevant Android permissions requested by Netsmart applications
CAMERA
Used for permissions that are associated with accessing camera or capturing images/video from the device. This permission allows this application to capture patient wound images, profile images and documents, in order for them to be viewed in this application and recorded in the patient’s EHR.
STORAGE
Used for permissions that are associated accessing device storage. Allows, for instance, access to device storage to encrypt and store pictures and read pictures captured through the device, store limited and encrypted patient demographic data. The application will not access the default image gallery. This, more specifically, allows this application to save the captured images, and to read the images for viewing within the app, to temporarily store the images if the device is offline, and to retrieve patient data in offline mode.
Wi-Fi and Internet
The application uses Wi-Fi or Internet to communicate. The Wi-Fi/Internet connection is used to authenticate the user who is logging in to the app to ensure it is a valid user, to retrieve data from the EHR, and to upload the captured images into the patient record in the EHR.
Information for Children Under 13
Our website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think we have collected information from a child under the age of 13, please contact us.
Security
The security of your Information is very important to Netsmart. We use physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to protect your Information.
