OVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 2, 2018 - Today, Netsmart announced it has finalized its acquisition of the home care and hospice solutions of Change Healthcare, formerly known as McKesson Homecare and McKesson Hospice. This transaction further establishes Netsmart as the largest healthcare IT partner for post-acute and behavioral health providers.
"The completion of this acquisition coupled with our recent announcement of myUnity®, our cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform designed exclusively for care at home and senior living providers, solidifies Netsmart as the clear leader in the post-acute space," said Netsmart CEO Mike Valentine. "Netsmart will immediately begin to integrate the Change Healthcare Homecare Advisor™ and Hospice Advisor™ solutions into our CareFabric®suite of solutions. This will allow current Change Healthcare home care and hospice clients to leverage our health information exchange (HIE), analytics, referral management and mobility solutions to connect with their health system partners to better coordinate care for the patients they serve."
