OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Sept. 20, 2018—Kansas State University College of Engineering named Netsmart the 2018 Company of the Year at its 35th annual Career Fair Recognition. The award winner is chosen based on a company's commitment to engineering education, quality performance and ambitious standards in the engineering field.
“Netsmart takes pride in our relationship with Kansas State University. Their programs consistently produce top quality talent that draws the attention of employers across the nation,” Netsmart CEO Mike Valentine said, a Kansas State University College of Engineering alum, class of 1990. “We especially value K-State's focus on the collaboration of academics and the real-world challenges companies like Netsmart face every day.”
Netsmart ranks as one of the top employers of K-State engineering graduates – graduates who continue to benefit Netsmart, the state of Kansas and regions beyond through their commitment to education and elite skill set.
“Netsmart has been a strong partner and we truly appreciate their support and investment in our students,” Darren Dawson, dean of the College of Engineering at Kansas State University said. “It is a privilege and honor to recognize them as our 2018 Company of the Year.”
The Company of the Year award was established by the College of Engineering in 1974.
