Senior Director and Chief Nursing Officer

Ms Gannon is the Chief Nursing Officer for Netsmart, the leading provider of clinical solutions for health and human services organizations nationwide. Gannon supports the Netsmart nursing and ancillary services team in transforming clinical care across the spectrum of health and human services by focusing on nursing process, clinical change management, recovery and research-based care, coordinated care planning, closed loop medication processes, and the integration of behavioral and primary care. Ms Gannon has worked in the healthcare field since 1990, serving as a paramedic while obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is a Trauma Nurse Specialist who has worked in Emergency Departments across the country. Ms Gannon also served as an Organ Recovery Coordinator for transplant services at the Regional Organ Bank of Illinois. Prior to joining Netsmart in 2013, she served as the Senior Strategist for Nursing and Care Delivery at Cerner Corporation where she obtained several patents for co-invention of technology tools to better serve clinicians in the acute care realm. She is one of the first nurses in the field of Nursing Informatics to win the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses and has been twice nominated for the March of Dimes Future of Nursing Award. Back
