Veterans Day Reflections

By Netsmart

This Veterans Day join us as we remember, honor and reflect on all of our past, present and future veterans.

At Netsmart, we are so proud to work alongside our clients and support those communities who serve veterans and their families. Mental health services for our returning veterans should be one of the highest priorities, but the reality is that these services aren’t always easy to access.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a valuable resource that can make a difference in the lives of all individuals, especially our veterans. Over the past 18 months, Netsmart has certified more than 500 of our associates in Mental Health First Aid. In addition, we have certified two associates as instructors and expect to have more trained next year so that we can bring this vital service out into our communities.

In honor of this Veterans Day, we are making a donation to Mental Health First Aid to help fund the training of more individuals in this life saving certification program. If you feel compelled to also make a donation, here is a link with more information on Mental Health First Aid and how your donation can teach individuals the skills to help someone with a mental health condition.

Veterans Day means different things to different people. But if you are looking for simple ways to honor veterans, or just to show your appreciation, here are some ideas.

To our veterans and their families: A profound thank you for your service, sacrifices and commitment to preserving our freedoms. To our clients who serve veterans and their families: Thank you for making your own sacrifices to help those who need it most. To our associates who have served, on behalf of all of us at Netsmart, thank you for your service.
