In the last many weeks, our routines have adapted to the challenges before us. New words have entered our vocabulary as we manage being physically separated while being socially connected.
Necessary measures have been completely changing the way we socialize and conduct business at work and in our personal lives. It shifted the way we celebrate, collaborate and offer support - the way we come together. With the implementation of a virtual workforce, parking lots, conference rooms and desk chairs suddenly became empty.
Seemingly, well actually overnight, we were apart. We remained banded together to ensure we were aligned in the cause and community we serve.
Maintaining social connection during this time continues to be a focal point for us to ensure connection and collaboration. We’ve been reminded wellness requires us to make time for interaction; we found a way to stick together while remaining physically apart.
I believe we become our best selves during times of challenge. Through difficulty and uncertainty, we find just how flexible, adaptable and resilient we are. We’ve learned a lot, and we’ll bring a lot of these lessons with us forward, including the openness to discuss mental wellness and making a conscious effort to “check in” on others.
In addition to advancing the adoption of virtual technologies, including telehealth and virtual conferencing tools, we have also taken significant strides in reducing the stigma often associated with mental health.
As stay-at-home orders begin to lift, we will continue to adapt and find solutions that prioritize the health and safety of our associates, while continuing to support our clients who are selflessly serving individuals when they need it most. Our associates, partners and communities only grew stronger amidst these challenges, which gives me great hope for our future. I continue to be inspired, humbled and gracious seeing individuals unite to serve and support one another.
I’ll leave us with a final thought: Stay positive, stay connected and stay hopeful.
We are #ApartNotAlone and we’re #InThisTogether always.
