Recently passed by Congress and signed by the President, the following three historic bills are designed to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the nation’s health and economy.
- Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act ($2 trillion+)
- Families First Coronavirus Response Act ($185 billion)

We have a team of associates dedicated to reviewing the legislation and its impacts on our clients in the human services and post-acute communities and will continue to provide updates and guidance as new information is released.
We are pleased to provide you with COVID-19: Legislative and Regulatory Impact and Opportunity, a summary of key sections and ways Netsmart can help you take advantage of additional funding opportunities or meet anticipated requirements.
At this time, we recommend all clients closely monitor these developments and support the key lobbying asks from their respective trade associations such as: the National Council for Behavioral Health, LeadingAge, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, National Association in Support of Long Term Care, and others as these groups work to shape policy and regulations. Netsmart will continue to advocate on our clients’ behalf in conjunction with our industry association partners.
