Overland Park, Kan., April 3, 2017 - Netsmart, the largest healthcare IT provider solely focused on integrating behavioral health and post-acute care with the rest of healthcare, is excited to announce partnerships with clients in five of the eight states selected to participate in the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) program. Clients in the selected states have contracted with Netsmart to provide solutions that support population health management, care coordination, HIE, connectivity and specialized financial technology to support the CCBHC program.
CCBHCs are responsible for directly providing (or contracting with designated collaborating organizations to provide) nine required types of services, with an emphasis on the provision of 24-hour crisis care, utilization of evidence-based practices, care coordination and integration with physical health care. CCBHC sites will be required to execute the program while participating in a new Prospective Payment System similar to that used by Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and other types of providers.
Netsmart has worked closely with client partners to match its CareFabric® solution capabilities to the CCBHC program requirements and define an integrated Value-Based Care solution. This week, Netsmart will be showcasing its value-based care and a broad range of behavioral health solutions and services at NATCON17 in Seattle.
"As we studied the requirements associated with the CCBHC program, we quickly realized we would need more than our standard electronic health record (EHR) to meet the clinical and billing requirements of the program," said Tri-County Mental Health Services (Missouri) CEO Tom Petrizzo. "We needed a technology partner who understood the unique requirements of the CCBHC program and were thinking beyond traditional EHR capabilities and into areas such as analytics, population health management and interoperability. These components are critical in helping us achieve success in a value-based care environment."
The Value-Based Care offering from Netsmart supports the requirements of the CCBHC program and allows clients to leverage solutions beyond the EHR to meet standards and excel in understanding targeted populations, tracking and improving Clinical Quality Measures and connecting to the community to exchange data and coordinate care.
"We are honored to be part of the team to pioneer the move to value-based care with our CCBHC partners," said Netsmart CEO Mike Valentine. "We are committed to work alongside our client partners to ensure continued advancement of solutions to support these requirements and help accelerate innovations to improve connectivity and health outcomes."
