By Neal Tilghman, Senior Director and GM Addictions and Mental Health

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is now accepting applications from all 50 states for the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Expansion Grant. Organizations who would like to apply for the grant have until March 10, 2020 to submit their applications. There will be up to 98 awards with estimated award amounts of up to $2 million annually for up to two years.

The program was initially created to help increase access and improve the quality of care for individuals with a serious mental illness (SMI). CCBHCs are designed to coordinate care across the spectrum of health services, including physical and behavioral healthcare, as well as addictions, social services, housing, educational systems and employment opportunities. Netsmart is leading the way in helping organizations through their value-based care journey as our CCBHC clients serve currently over 70,000 consumers.
