Connecting Whole-Families: The Bair Foundation

By Netsmart

Successful child and family service organizations understand that adopting the right technology is essential to achieving positive outcomes for the families they serve. From storing and retrieving client data to executing service plans, providers need access to tools that help simplify and streamline workflows.  These powerful capabilities allow providers to focus on delivering the best care and service possible.

Our longtime partners, The Bair Foundation, incorporated the Netsmart child and family platform seven years ago to meet their goal of whole-person care. Traci Krider and Falon Westlake, program directors at The Bair Foundation gave us some insight into the goals the organization achieved by going digital with an electronic health record (EHR).

  • Simplifying paperwork and duplicate documentation processes: Utilizing a technology platform with simplified tools based on industry standards has kept vital client information available whenever needed. “It delivers confidence to our team regarding the accuracy of client information and reduces unnecessary duplication of tasks such as data entry and paperwork” said Traci Krider. “By being a one-stop shop where all of our client information is securely stored, it brings piece of mind knowing that you don’t have files containing confidential client information floating around.”
  • Personalizing Ownership: “The system has really provided our staff with a sincere feeling of ownership toward their work, allowing them to improve services delivered to our clients,” Falon Westlake said. “They appreciate how easy it is to gather the information they need when and where they need it which has empowered them to make the best decisions for care.”
  • Leveraging Powerful EHR functionality: The power of the platform has allowed us to maximize operational efficiencies in order to focus more on providing personalized care. “What we were needing was a way to streamline our workflows while meeting guidelines and government requirements so we could focus on serving the children and families in our community,” said Traci Krider

Having the right tools at hand, whether you’re in the office or on the go, can make a world of difference when it comes to providing top-notch care. Reducing unnecessary factors in daily operations while providing easy-to-use resources enables providers to make the best decisions to support the well-being of children and families they serve.
