A suite of optional modules that extend the Insight EHR to meet the unique needs of family & child health services clinics
FAMILY PLANNING & TITLE X REPORTING
Insight Family Planning is a complete solution for local health departments providing Family Planning services. Integrated with the Insight EHR, the Family Planning module provides access to the patient's medical history, problem list, medications, allergies and immunization history. Clinical workflow includes OB and contraceptive history and dispensing, vital signs, a configurable physical exam, assessments, counseling and education, lab work, clinical notes and other documentation. Encounters may be directly created in the Family Planning module.
The Family Planning module is optimized for local health departments who provide services under Title X of the Public Health Service Act. Data collected during the clinical encounter is incorporated into the Title X extract. Settings are
region-specific; once the region is specified, only the data fields for that region are displayed. The Title X extract is formatted for the selected region.
CHILD HEALTH
The Insight Child Health Services module was designed to support the specific needs of Child
Health clinics:
- The module provides easy access to view and record pediatric medical history, medications, allergies, immunizations, vital signs, clinical impressions, physical exam and lab orders for patients from 0 to 21 years of age.
- Clinical workflow is predetermined based on such factors as patient age, sex and nature of the visit (well child or sick child).
- Growth charts include height, weight, BMI and head circumference percentiles based on age and
gender-appropriate CDC guidelines.
- Medical history, well child and sick child assessments are configurable.
- Information can be entered and saved from a variety of sources, including well and sick visits, hospital care, lab test results, dental care, vision care, immunizations, medications, substance abuse and transportation
to appointments.
BREAST AND CERVICAL
CANCER SCREENING
Insight Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening collects data and patient information for local health departments that provide breast and cervical cancer screenings. This module has three components:
- Physical Exam – Captures information related to physical exam, including providers who provided services and risk factors. This detailed information can be used in follow-up, outreach and intervention programs, summary reports and project planning.
- Breast Cancer Screening– Follow-up is captured in four areas: Initial information, screening, diagnostic workup and diagnosis dispositions and prior procedures.
- Cervical Cancer Screening– Follow-up is captured in three areas: Initial information, screening and diagnostic workup
and disposition.
MATERNAL AND
PRENATAL HEALTH
Insight's Maternal Prenatal Health module supports local health departments who provide prenatal care. Integrated with the Insight EHR, the Maternal and Prenatal module provides access to the patient's medical history, problem list, medications, allergies and immunization history. Clinical workflow includes OB and birth history, vital signs, prenatal growth charts, a configurable physical exam, risk assessments, counseling and education, lab work and clinical notes and other documentation. Encounters may be directly created in the Maternal and Prenatal module.
The Maternal and Prenatal module is optimized for state reporting. Upon entry of the state name during implementation, the data fields required by that state are displayed in the State Reporting tab. Statistics collected by the Maternal and Prenatal module support state reporting.
LABORATORY TESTS
The Family Health, Child Health and Maternal and Prenatal Health modules enable clinic staff to initiate lab orders and review results as a part of
clinical workflow.
