INSIGHT ANYWHERE
Insight Anywhere supports field staff who need disconnected access to system functionality while working outside the walls of the health department. It is ideal for activities such as mobile clinics, case management, disease investigation, home health visits and health fairs. Users load their laptop computers with the data they need from the Insight database and then work detached from the network. Upon return to the health department, they 'synch' with the Insight database, uploading data from the field.

Based on access privileges, Insight Anywhere users can view medical history, update patient information, capture services, immunizations, STD visits and lab tests, enter SOAP and other notes. They can also add new patients and schedule new appointments.

EPIDEMIOLOGY
Insight's Epidemiology module enhances disease surveillance and prevention by collecting and organizing extensive information about disease outbreaks. Case reports are comprehensive, and facilitate both qualitative and quantitative data collection and management in an intuitive and organized manner. The module provides the flexibility to document the diverse range of health-related events and epidemics. The Public Health Information Network (PHIN) messaging feature of the Epidemiology module creates an HL7 message of the patient's outbreak information for transmission to other health departments and the state.

EVENT MANAGEMENT
Event Management helps staff plan, prepare, execute, and evaluate health education, outreach and preparedness activities.

Data is collected about each event, location and requestor. Details such as supplies and personnel needed for the event are also tracked. Event evaluation metrics can be defined and reviewed post-event, as well as staff event evaluations. Forms and correspondence such as event confirmation and regret letters, supplies list, participation request, reminder and evaluation forms can be produced. All information is formatted for ease of reporting and event evaluation.

PHARMACY
Insight Pharmacy manages the daily operation of the health department's in-house pharmacy. Key features include inventory management, configurable patient education leaflets, prescription recording and refills, label printing and billing linked to patient accounts.
The system maintains inventory for multiple pharmacies, supports pre-packaged drugs (such as maternal vitamins) for distribution at remote clinics without a pharmacy, and tracks medications provided to the patient.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE
This module tracks patient admissions and discharges to alcohol and drug abuse treatment facilities. Information about the patient's health conditions, emergency referrals and drug abuse status at the time of each admission can be added, as well as the patient's disposition at the time of discharge. The module also can track available facilities, services
and beds.

A/R TRANSACTION EXPORT
This utility exports Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions from Insight for consumption by a General Ledger system. The export can be performed on any desired schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.). Transactions included in the extract are stored in a history file. Queries can be run to verify information at any point in the future. AR transactions can be associated with specific account numbers using various fields such as payor, program, transaction type or other sources.
