Insight Provider Charting
The Omaha System a key part of Netsmart’s Insight Public Health Software
As an integral part of Insight, Netsmart’s enterprise public health software, the Provider Charting module organizes patient demographic information, practice management and provider documentation into a single database to consolidate and improve the care delivery process. The Provider Charting module is a software implementation of the Omaha System, designed for use by public health and home care communities.
The Provider Charting module follows a flow from Problem Classification Scheme through Intervention Scheme to Problem Rating Scale for Outcomes. Pre-programming standardized vocabulary facilitates consistency in data collection and significantly reduces the possibility of errors. A summary screen is used to search for Provider Charting records for the current patient or all patients for a domain, problems or comments, diagnosis and/or provider combinations. Provider Charting may also be used to track Community Related Problems and their outcomes. User-defined Pathway templates for commonly defined problems are now available. A timeline of Problems may be viewed as a Gantt chart.
