Insight Version 5.0, from Netsmart Technologies, shipped on schedule. Version 5.0 continues in the Insight tradition with improved usability and exciting new features.
It has been very fulfilling to watch Insight grow and improve since its initial beginnings in 1996. Some very talented people have worked very hard to bring Insight to where it is today, the premier public health software application in the country.
Here are just a few of Insight 5.0 enhancements:
- Major upgrade to the Insight STD module with Laboratory integration and extended contact tracking features. New export to CDC's STD*MIS.
- Major upgrade to the Insight TB module with Laboratory integration and extended contact tracking features.
- Real-time, two-way, secure interface to Immunization registries using HL7.
- System-wide highlighting of user-specified required fields.
- Native HIPAA compliant electronic claims and remittance support.
- General Ledger interface.
