Does your organization have trouble keeping track of who has a consumer or patient’s charts? Or where a chart is located at any point in time in the care process? Tracking and easily locating charts is critical to the smooth and efficient operation of your organization and consumer privacy. To facilitate this important function, Netsmart provides Avatar Chart Tracking.
A module of Avatar PM, Avatar Chart Tracking was developed to automate tracking the movement of medical charts and folders. Chart Tracking incorporates the speed and accuracy of bar code technology within Avatar, and provides seamless recordkeeping and accurate chart tracking without the need for additional software. A few simple scans and each chart is tracked to the current location and user.
Avatar Chart Tracking includes all the fields important to your needs. Charts are checked in, checked out or moved from one location to another by scanning the bar code on the chart along with the information about the staff member to whom the file was given. The system easily generates the bar code labels complete with the patient ID, volume number, etc.
With Chart Tracking, a simple query reveals who has a patient’s chart, when they received the file and when it is expected back.
Labels
Bar coded labels for charts and folders are printed within the system and scanned using standard bar code wands. The bar code serves as a “license plate” to track the current location and movement of files within the organization. While the labels can be customized, Chart Tracking comes ready to use.
Reports
Avatar Chart Tracking includes a number of standard reports. Customized reports can also be created as needed.
