Three More Georgia Community Service Boards Select Netsmart as Technology Partner
Netsmart is Now Knowledge and Technology Provider of Choice for Six Georgia CSBs
Overland Park, Kan., May 30, 2013 – Netsmart, the leading provider of clinical solutions for health and human services organizations nationwide, today announced that three additional Community Service Boards (CSBs) in the state of Georgia have selected Netsmart as their knowledge and technology partner to help them enhance clinical care and maximize the efficiency of their business operations.
The three new additions to the Netsmart client community are Behavioral Health Services of South Georgia, the Community Service Board of Middle Georgia and the Albany Area Community Service Board. Netsmart already serves the DeKalb Community Service Board, Middle Flint Behavioral Healthcare and Pineland BHDD. Each of the CSBs provides comprehensive mental health, I/DD, child and adolescent, substance abuse, and addictive disease and prevention services.
The new Netsmart client CSBs all will use Netsmart’s myAvatar™ CareRecord™, which serves as a comprehensive, certified electronic health record (EHR) and features complete clinical and financial capabilities to support the delivery of coordinated care. Additional benefits include having multiple CSBs in the state on a common technology platform, facilitating integrated clinical information exchange and coordinated care between care providers and with other entities such as health information exchanges (HIEs).
The CSBs will also realize cost savings and protections by utilizing myAvatar in the secure, reliable Netsmart Plexus Cloud™ hosting environment. With Plexus Cloud hosting, Netsmart handles server maintenance, daily back-ups and updates to operating system, database and application software. This allows Netsmart clients to save money, reduce costly IT staff overtime and focus on providing quality care to consumers.

Another key purpose of GACSB is to speak singularly in matters mutually involving and concerning community service boards in Georgia.
